Another-Cares

We are working on becoming a more caring version of ourselves. We do not claim to be a sustainable brand, however we are committed to taking better choices and decreasing the environmental impact across our business. Whether this impacts our design process in which we aim to design each collection more sustainable than previous collections, or the smaller changes; each impact, small or big, is worth taking.

Below you can find more information about this process of change and also a way in how we want to commit you in this journey as well.

Our sustainable choices can be recognized by an ‘Another Cares” label.

Another Garment care

Another way to commit is to care about your garment. By taking care of your garment’s lifetime, we generate a longer period in which a garment is being worn. And therefore, we are reducing the environmental footprint.

Below our Another garment care tips:

Reduce the travel of orders
Another way to reduce the environmental footprint is to reduce unnecessary transport of orders. Are you in love with an item and ready to order, but you struggle to decide which size to get? Please do not order 2 or more sizes. Take a look at our size guide, which you can see under the sizes. Next to this, in the product information you can read what kind of fit the product has. Are you looking for a something oversized, but is has a regular fit? The best way is to size up.

Another Material
Our ambition is to increase the percentage of conscious materials in every new collection we develop. Below you can find all materials we use that are tagged as our conscious- choice products.

Lenzing viscose - Lenzing viscose is certified because it’s made from pulp from responsible managed forests (FSC or PEFC)  and comes from sustainable sources. It’s certified with the international recognized EU Ecolabel. Lyocell is natural, man-made fiber, made from wood pulp. For the production of lyocell no toxic chemicals are used. Because of the closed loop system, all chemicals are recycled and used again. The water used in the process is around 20% less in comparison to other productions, like cotton. Lyocell is bio-degradable and compostable which means that all items made of lyocell can revert back into nature.

Recycled polyester - Recycled polyester is made from recycled materials, like PET bottles and polyester fabrics. The energy needed in the production process of recycled polyester is around 30-50% less than virgin polyester and for this no new petroleum is needed. Therefore reducing the overall carbon foot- print. Recycled PET prevents that PET bottles are ending up in landfill. Recycled polyester is certified with the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) or RCS (Recycled Content Standard).

Recycled faux leather - Recycled faux leather is partly made of recycled polyester. The top part of the fabric (the surface) is made of conventional polyester. The backing of the fabric, the part that is in direct contact with your skin, is made of 60% Recycled polyester and 40% Conventional polyester. This fabric is certified with the GRS certificate.

Organic Cotton Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Third-party certification organizations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

Recycle Cotton - Recycled cotton is converting cotton fabric into cotton fiber that can be reused in textile products. Recycled content includes recycled raw material, as well as used, reconditioned, and re-manufactured components.

Post consumer recycled cotton – Post-consumer recycled cotton is the type of cotton that comes from recycled garments and textile products which have been previously sold to and used by people.

Pre-consumer recycled cotton - Pre-consumer recycled cotton this is the type of cotton that comes from the waste that is produced in the manufacturing process..
